Having earned her bachelor's degree in Social Work from The University of Kansas, Brianna Herrera, a first-generation college graduate has experienced first-hand the hardships and barriers that come with navigating higher education. As she navigated through those barriers, she found community in becoming involved with organizations such as the HDF Scholar Advisory Board (SAB), which further ignited her passion in helping others and working towards a more equitable future, where all students can have access to higher education.

In her free time, Brianna enjoys spending time with her family, partner, and dog (Benito). While also finding time to do things she likes, such as cooking, crafting, watching football, and getting involved in the community.
