HDF Trade/Certificate Scholarship Program

The purpose of this scholarship fund is to support talented Hispanic/Latino high school students who are focused on pursuing a career in a manufacturing trade or technical profession. HDF is proud to offer $1,000 scholarships for students pursuing a trade or certificate program at Johnson County Community College, Metropolitan Community College or Kansas City Kansas Community College. These institutions have joined us in this effort by matching the HDF Scholarship.

Eligibility:
  • Be of Hispanic/Latino Heritage.
  • Have a minimum GPA of 2.0 (unweighted) senior year.
  • Pursuing a certificate or trade degree (Associate in Applied Science or certificate trade program.
  • A senior or graduate of a Greater Kansas City area high school.
  • Community service and extracurricular activities are a plus.
How to apply: 
  • Students will first need to visit the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation's website to fulfill the GKCCF general application. Once there, click on the “Sign Up” button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. 

  • Once the GKCCF General Application is complete, the HDF Trade/Certificate Program Scholarship application will become available to you as long as you meet the eligibility requirements.
